Where possible I like to keep my photos for the daily prompt relevant to something in my life, whether it be a moment or an object, but I feel it needs to have some meaning to me. Sometimes the daily prompt fits nicely; at other times it can be a struggle. And then there are times when I choose to take photos of something that is part of my 'real life' for that day.
Today I dropped my husband off at the airport and went in search of my great grandmother's grave site. I have explored my family history on and off for many years and at the moment I'm having another look. Thanks to the internet and the digitisation of so many records it was possible to locate exactly where her grave site was. I was really disappointed and saddened to see that there was no marker, no acknowledgement of the life of this person who is buried here. I did not know her and know so very little of her life. She was born in Cork, Ireland around 1872 and died in 1959. There are so many answers I would like.
